John Vester's second CD 'Half A World Away' was released on May 22nd 2002. The CD is available through the shop on this website for 15 USD.
"In this series of recordings you can hear us enjoying the process", says John. Guitar and vocal based arrangements with southern California folk and countryrock influences, thoughtfully applied with new colors, broader strokes and a wider range of lyrical themes, re-defining and clarifying the artist's voice.

"Half The World Away" has a wonderful sound quality. Thanks to the crystal clear engineering and production by Michael Lennon, a member of the band Venice. The CD was recorded in the 'Venice'-studio in Los Angeles, where several musical friends of John Vester helped him out: Alexis Sklarevski plays bass on most of the tracks,

drummers Matt Laug and Scott Crago (Eagles) collaborated, and Mark and Kipp Lennon added their wonderful vocals to a number of songs. For the first time, the new CD include a full colour booklet of lyrics, handwritten and illustrated in pen, ink and watercolor by John Vester.
